Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
no next of kin named
my fiance' mother just passd & the county investigater has located him, he is adopted(by her)she had very little money in the bank and has one 15 year old car ,a storage w/ nik-naks & over 10,000$$ in medical bills, no will, no next of kin,they claim the county took the bank money for creamation, what should he do? The son has no licence,no savings, if he claims her belongings will he also be taking on the huge medical bills as well as any other bills she had not paid in her final years?!
