Next of Kin Responsibilities

What are the responsibilities of the next of kin for debts owed and

for ''final'' expenses.

It depends on your definition of "next of kin". Do you mean the person incharge of the estate? Do you mean any relative generally?

If the first, then there will most likely be some responsibility to help clear debts and pay for funeral expenses, but these come from the estate.

If the latter, then probably none.
