Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
can a lawyer charge 2 diferent fee's ? 1 for probate portion & 1 for the trust portion? or is this supposed to be all 1 fee

This is an odd question because, normally, if there is a trust, then there is not a Probate. This is usually why people create trusts...to avoid Probate. (I discuss this on one of our firm's sites, No-Probate.com).
I'll need some more information about what has gone on to provide you with an answer. For example, was there assets not included in the trust? Was there a provision in the trust to cover such items? What was the attorney's breakdown on his billing?
I look forward to discussing this with you in detail.
