Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I was left sole executor of mothers estate. opposing side started case againt me alledging undue influence over my mother, the decedant aprox 1 year after death. sister intentionally left out of trust of mother as she was not seen by mother for 28 years. sister used perjured statements on validity to determine validity of trust as well as mediation brief. my lawyer never secured witnesses and i was forced into 60k settlement. attorney did not check into any false or personally damaging allegations.

I have been told by my attorney that he is withdrawling from case and to finish myself. have also been told that because the attorney never did proper discovery that i am beyond any statute of limitations.

leaving me emotionally tramatized and 60k in the hole. is there ANYTHING i can do.

Since we would need much more detailed information to form any vague idea as to whether you have a malpractice case and what else you should be doing [you may be able to object to the attorney dropping you -- you definitely need to get the reasons for doing so from the attorney] you Mr. McCormick is correct that you need to see an attorney to discuss the matter in detail. There may be other things that you can do besides a malpractice suit, but we do not

have enough information from you to know what else is possible.
