Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Legal Advise on How to Probate An Estate

my parents owned land in riverside county 5 acres , both of my parents have passed and did not leave any will or any legal docs. that would show in case of there death the property would automatically be put in my name

The real estate agent sent me a AFFIDAVIT RE REAL PROPERTY OF SMALL VALUE (LESS THAN 20,000 )and to have it filled out by attorney and to take it to court.

Do you know of another way that I can do this without paying so much money to have it done?

please advise me as soon as possible Your help is greatly appreciated

Re: Legal Advise on How to Probate An Estate

I am sorry to hear of both of your parents passing and I hope you are handling it well. The form is actually for estates valued at under $100,000 and it is available directly through the COurt's website. We also provide it on one of our sites, No-Probate.com.

You can fill it out yourself and file it or it can be handled by an attorney, us or any other estate planning attorney, for a minimal amount. I would think it should not cost more than 1 to 2 hours of time.

If you would like to discuss this matter further in a more private forum, please feel free to contact me directly at the email address provided by LawGuru or through our firms alternate website located at PasadenaEstatePlanning.com
