legal right to parents home

If my sister is executor of my parents estate and I am the only one on the deed to my parents house, who has the legal right to the home?

Why are you on the deed? Is the house part of the estate or was it transferred to you prior to death as payment for a loan or other reason? Who else is also on the deed? I would need more information. You may contact me or another attorney for further help.

Re: legal right to parents home

Generally, if the house is in your name it belongs to you. However, there are several things that I do not know and would not be comfortable sticking with this answer.

For instance, you said that it was your "parent's house". If it was your parents house why are you on the deed and why were they not on the deed? Were you holding title in trust for them or under some other arrangement?

There are several questions that arise in this regard and you should consult with an attorney to review all of the documentation and discuss your options.
