You do not need a real estate agent, but without more information it does appear that your buying the property would be a breach of your duties as a trustee. As a buyer, you want to pay the least for the property, as the trustee you want it to sell for the highest price. Are there any other people who have an interest in the property, is it in probate, are you the trustee of a trust or the executor of a Will?

You never need a real estate agent. However, this would most likely be a breach of your fiduciary duty as trustee if there are other interested parties or beneficiaries. I recommend you contact an attorney so you can relay the full details.
