lenth of time for a non-contested probate
how long should a non-contested probate take?
it was presented at court 3 years ago (1997)
And why would it take this length of time?

Could take as little as 4 to 6 months depending the complexity of the assets held. Probate may take longer, especially if the estate requires a tax return filing.
