Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Life Estate Problem

Two beneficiaries of their father's estate were granted one-third share of his property. A third beneficiary, the widow of the deceased, was granted the other third share, as well as a life estate. In accordance with the life estate, the widow agreed to pay all month-to-month operating costs (mortage, association dues, fire insurance, etc.). The widow now refuses to pay operating costs and has terminated all communication with the other two benficiaries leaving them to pay the month-to-month debt to keep the property safe and in good standing.

Will a court revoke a life estate under these circumstances?

What legal options do the two beneficiaries have?

Re: Life Estate Problem

Certainly if a suit was brought regarding the issue, terminating the widow's life estate may be a remedy. Perhaps a less harsh result can be achieved than evicting the widow. Contact me directly.
