Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
life estate resident
I am a life estate resident with the remainderman being the successor trustee. I am the trust beneficiary. I am wondering how the deed should be signed? The house is paid for so wouldn't we be considered co-owners at some level? The only reference to me is that they indicate to send any tax bills to me. She is the only signer with all paperwork going to her. Can I take out a loan if needed?

Re: life estate resident
If you are the beneficiary and the current life estate holder, I am curious what the successor trustee actually has or has a right to claim. To know this I would need to see the terms of the trust.
You would not be co-owners, the trust is the owner and you are the beneficiary.
What "paperwork" goes to her?
