Life estate vs. ssi benefits

Hello. I am wondering what is the best thing to do regarding ssi and a life estate that was willed to me. I am about 90 percent sole beneficiary in my fathers trust and I

am at a loss on what to do regarding the ssi issues that could come up. Dad passed awau Oct. 5th (08) and I should do something soon. If the answer is a cpa, I don't know how to find a good one. Can an atty. handle something like this?
