We are selling our present home and will be purchasing an equity ownership in

a retirement community.

Would it be better to list our two children as joint owners or as Successor Trustees (beneficiaries) of a Living Trust?

Either of our children may wish to keep the property after our death.

If one of the children dies before we do, would this tie up the property?

Listing your children as joint owners is an extremely risky practice as it could subject the property to attachment by past, present or future creditors of the children.
