living trust

my father died 3 months ago and had all assets in a living trust - generally speaking how long does it take to distribute the trust? The attorney asked for our soc sec numbers a month ago

I depends on the nature of the assets and the terms of the trust. You should demand a copy of the trust document and have an attorney keep in touch with the successor trustee to protect your interests. If there is not hanky panky going on, it will be a worthy and minor expense. If there is, it will save you big money.
