Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Living Trust :(

My grandfather died about 6 months ago and has a living trust. In the living trust my family knows that my mom and cousin get his home and his wife (my step grandmother) gets to live in the home for 1 year from the date of his passing. When she went to lawyers office to have the living trust read she didn't inform my mother or cousin that this was being done and took on of her children with her. My mom then contacted the lawyer to get a copy of the living trust and was told that she was only to receive a copy of what is left to her and nothing that is in the trust about what my step grandmother gets. Can that happen or can she receive a copy of the whole trust? Once the 1 year is up and my step grandmother has to move out of the home, does all my grandmother's things that were original in the home when she moved in, does get those things or do they go to my family? My mom doesnt know her rights with the trust and what can and can not happen, because my step grandmother has already been giving away things that are not hers and things my family wants that are sentimental to my family that she does not care about. Please help with any advice that can be given. Thanks. :(

I would challenge the attorney's position and request a complete copy if she is a beneficiary. Call me directly at 16192223504.

Re: Living Trust :(

You are entitled to a full copy of a trust when a portion of the trust becomes irrevocable, which happens on the death of the trustor.
