Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

if i have a living trust and the trustee is out of state, can i have him sign and notarize in other state. Then he sends me back the Living Trust. I then go to notary in California with a witness. Is this legally binding

The trustee should not have to sign an intervivos trust.

Mr. McCormick's answer is correct.

Re: notary, yes, a CA document may be signed and notarized in another state.

When you sign a document before a notary, you generally do not need a witness, just valid picture ID.
