As long as the trust is revocable during your lifetime, he shouldn't have control.

The trustee has legal title of the real estate at issue, which gives the trustee control, not the beneficiaries per se, unless one of the beneficiaries is the trustee as well. To protect your interests best here would be to be your own trustee under a revocable inter vivos (living) trust. If you would like further legal assistance here, contact us directly.
