Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

living trusts vs. wills

If you have a living trust, do you also need a will?

Can you make a codicil to your living trust?

It is better to have both than one alone. They work in conjunction with each other.

A trust does not have a codicil, it has a amendments.

yes, you need a pourover will, a durable power of attorney for asset management and an advance health care directive.

trusts are modified by amendment (not a "codicil") depending upon the language of the trust agreement.
