I have a Living Will and testament.

I've written an amendment to update information.

I would like to know if the person I name as executor of the will, can also receive a gift from me or is it a conflict of interest.

That's perfectly fine, and is often the case. An executor often is the child of the testator who is not excluded from being a beneficiary. It's appropriate, though, to have a will or codicil witnessed by persons who are not beneficiaries.
