loan from trust

i am a beneficary on a trust. i received a loan from the trust in 1998. my last payment was in 2000. after the orginator of the trust was ruled incompetent in 2003, i was told verbally that this loan was forgiven by the new trustees. now these same trustees are threatening me saying i will have to repayment this loan if i proceed in getting an accounting of the financial working of the trust.

The trustees at issue appear to be in breach of their fiduciary duties of due care and loyalty if they are making such threats regarding an accounting you, as beneficiary, is legally entitled to.
