How long does the trustee have to administrate the Trust.

It varies depending on the types of assets involved and other factors, including the language of the Trust. However, within 60 days after the death of the Trustor a notification should be sent to all beneficiaries and heirs. Then there is 120 days for people to contest the Trust. That right there gets you to 6 months. Then there the Trustee must make sure creditors are paid, tax returns filed, etc. 6-8 months is a pretty standard timeline and if there are difficult issues or assets then it could take years.
