lost trust

My mother died. I can't find her trust papers. I don't know who the lawyer is...Where are these papers filed?

I am sorry for your loss.

Unfortunately, the trust is not filed. If there was litigation over the trust, then it may be an exhibit to some court papers. If your mother has a safe deposit box, she may have kept it there, but a court order is needed to go open the box, unless you are on the account. If you know when she executed the trust, try looking for a cancelled check to an attorney. Good luck.
