messy trouble over a will...please help

hi its a long complicated story but this is a really vague and short version.

my friend's (17 year old female)father died and he was planning to give all of his assets to her. he's been married to this woman for 5 years but its not his first marriage and shes not my friends real mother.

the father made a will online that said everything would goto my friend but since he didnt mention his wife not getting anything i guess its not totally official.

so then she had to give half of everything to the wife. the wife agreed to give the house and most of the money because thats what he said should happen.

but just recently the fathers relatives who hate my friend have came in the picture and are furious that my friend gets at least half and have been looking for another will. about 2 months later they said they found one that says now the wife would recieve everything. they now have a signature specialist to look at the writing and says the signature is different than his own writing but the excuse that they gave was that he was on vicodin at the time and impared his writing.

theres a lot more little things that make it more messy but i couldnt fit it on here. please help. she has a lawyer but hes busy and doesn't do much.

mike

The status of the court system (the criminal cases are crowding out all other cases, including probate cases)makes it appear as though your friends attorney is "doing nothing". If the latest of the two wills was drafted by an attorney and witnessed by at least two adults your friend is going to have a tough time convincing anyone that it is not a valid will. If, on the other hand, the second of the two wills was a holographic will scratched out on a hospital paper towel, while your friends will was like the first will I described above, she's in good shape. I only take cases in Riverside County California, btw.
