Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Mileage Reimbursable for Elder Care?

My family is getting ready to settle a trust for my grandmother. My mother was the primary visitor that assisted with doctor visits, etc… Is her gas mileage reimbursable for all her visits to the assisted living facility she was at before she passed away?

If so, does she use the standard IRS published rates for that (e.g. 2002/36.5 cents per mile)? Also, she does not have any travel logs, but probably made 2 trips per week for close to four years. Is there any documentation that should be provided?

Thank you.
