Missing Will

I need to know if and when you make out a will with an attorney, does that attorney file it with the governmet or any other authority? Is there any record anywhere that someone made out a will? Can a missing will be ever be found??

Re: Missing Will

Wills are not usually filed anywhere until a person's death, but the attorney may have the original will for safekeeping. If a will is missing, the law presumes it to be revoked, but this presumption may be overcome with evidence of the will and that the will-maker did not intend to revoke it.
