Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

my mom died in april of this year she left a will with specific details on how she wanted her things divided she named my brother as benifcary of life insurance and stated in her will that she chose him to divide everything equally i understand that life insurance is will not pass through probate but there are personal things she left me that he also wont let me have he has not filed the will can i go to court with thw will and claim my inheirentence

If you have access to the original will, you can and should lodge it with the court, and you can also file a Petition for Probate.
