Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Mom died

One house in foreclosure, multiple credit card debts, and owned a mobile home. What do we do with the mobile?

Rent must be paid on the space and we have no money to pay for it, or a lawyer. Can we just sign the mobile home over to the trailer park and forget it?

Re: Mom died

You mean the mobile home is worth nothing? Where can I get such a good deal? :-)

Re: Mom died

you are not required to pay the rent, unless of course you signed on the agreement. you can try to sell the mobile home. if it's under 125k then you can do it by summary probate.

Re: Mom died

Don't know. You are not liable for your mom's debts. If there is any net equity in her estate then probate the estate, otherwise let it go.
