Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
My mother died at age of 103 after being in rest home for several years. There was a living estate with a note owed to her. How long before can I expect to get a copy of the note.

Your question leaves out to much information to offer a full response. When you say "living estate" do you meant a trust? If so, who is the trustee? Was the note part of the trust? If not, then you may need to open a Probate. How much is owed on the note? Besides you, what other heirs are there? I would be happy to answer more specific questions about your situation.
