I am sorry for your loss. Most likely the bank account, in both names, is now your brothers. Thus the issue for both accounts is who inherits from your brother? Was he married? Did he have kids? If not, then you might be next of kin. Is dad also deceased? Lastly, did brother have a will or trust? Mr. Palley's response is absolutely correct. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered before we can know what happens to the bank accounts. Do you know how much money is left in the accounts?
