Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My mother is 91 yrs old and I (daughter)have been her caretaker for the past 30 years. Recently I became ill and was in the hospital, during which time my brother who is executor to her living trust put her in a home and locked up the ranch. I just got released and he has said that I cannot go back home with my Mom and if I did he would have me arrested. Is this legal ? What can I do? My mom is still living and wants me to bring her home. HE already said he sold our vehicle (my mom's truck)and now plans to sell the ranch within the next 2 months. This is quite shocking to both my mom and myself. Can U Help me?

You need to get a copy of the Trust documents to determine the extent of your brother's authority to act in this regard.

Additionally, questions arise as to what your brother can do depending upon your mother's competence.

You should have a local attorney review the trust documents and discuss your options.
