Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

My mothers will

My mother died 3 years ago. I just received a copy of her will. The only mention of me is that I am her daughter and still living. My brother was trustee of her estate before her death. The will states that he can use monies or properties as he sees fit while she is still alive. I am an adopted child. Am I not allowed anything in the will? I understood that she must leave me at least a dollar. Is this correct or not? Thanks

Re: My mothers will
