Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

needing help badly

My sister is in charge of my fathers estate. there is bad blood right

now with her towards my brother and I. We can not get any info

from her on whats going on in the probate process. My father will

states 1/3 to each of us. She took inventory of the contents and

submitted the value to the courts. We don't have a copy. We don't

know the total cost of the medical bills to be paid and more. My

question is... can my brother and I be represented to make sure all

areas of this probate process is processed fairly ? And if so where I

do we start to retain a lawer. Thank you

Yes, you are all entitled to this information and if the adminstrator is not providing it to you, this may be grounds for removal. You should be represented by counsel and want to find a probate attorney who is located near where the probate is being adminstered. If you don't get a response from this service, you are welcome to contact our office for either assistance or a possible referral.

You are entitled to the information and be represented by an attorney. I recommend you retain counsel located in the county in which you live or in the county where the case is being probated. I can be of assistance if you or the case is in Santa Clara County. If you are interested and desire a free consultation, please call me at 408-268-2580.

Sincerely,

Re: needing help badly

You need to hire an attorney who is an expert in the estates/probate. He or she will know immediately what to do to protect you. You can call your local Bar Association and ask for the attorney referral division and make sure you get an attorney who he has specialized in estates and probate. Do this immediately, yesterday, the day before yesterday or else you are causing yourself a disservice.i have been practicing law in this speciality for over 30 years in the san francisco bay area and if you wish to consult with me you can contact me at 925-945-6000.
