Can non-executors consult with the attorney?

We are having a dispute with the executor of the trust for my Grandma. He is a family friend who is not being forthcoming with all of the details about the trust with the other heirs. Because the executor will not anser our questions, we would like to speak with the attorney who is handling this trust. Can the heirs consult with the attorney who is dealing with the trust, or is he only to speak to the executor?

The attorney is representing the trustee and not the beneficiaries. Generally, the first thing the beneficiary should do when funds are not distributed properly is to make a written request for an accounting and then, if the accounting is not forthcoming, file a "Demand for Accounting." For this, you will need your own attorney.
