Notarized Trustees signatures on Trusts

Do Calif Trusts require that the Trusts Trustors/Trustees signature be notarized? If so what is the Code section governing same?

Re: Notarized Trustees signatures on Trusts

I do not believe they are REQUIRED to be notarized, but it is certainly good practice to prevent possible claims of invalidity later.

I cannot give you the code section, however, the trustor (creator of the trust)must sign the document and the notary is proof that the person who signed the document has confirmed his identity to the notary. The trustee named need not sign the trust agreement.
