Re: Pet Trust

Such a trust is a revocable inter vivos trust, and there may be no source for forms. You could check with a stationery store, but his law does not contemplate a special form. Section 15212 recognizes a trust provision for care for an animal and limits the term of such a trust to the lifetime of the animal. If you already have a living trust, you could prepare an amendment to achieve this purpose; or you could create a special trust for that purpose. Establishing any trust should be done with professional assistance.

Re: Pet Trust

I'm not aware of any forms for sale for such a trust, although you may find some in the law library.

Check with a local estate planning attorney--this could be done as part of your whole estate plan. I have few forms that I use, and the client and I choose one or customize based on their needs.
