Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Power of Attoney - Credit card debt

Before my mother moved to Europe, I signed (at age 19) a Power of Attorney (do not recall what kind). She has $30K in credit card debt on which I am paying the monthly bills, because much of it was in loan to me. She is now in failing health. What is my financial obligation to the credit card companies after she passes? Will the Power of Attorney enable me to file bankruptcy on her behalf once she passes?

Re: Power of Attoney - Credit card debt

stop paying it. if your mother has assets the creditors can try to go after that but they can touch you.
