Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
How do you become Power of Attorney after someone has deceased? I am the youngest child and my father did not leave a will. My reason for wanting this is to have his medical records released to me.

You will need to be appointed Personal Representative of your father's estate. Many local courts have a probate department adviser who can provide the forms to be appointed. Call the probate department at the court where your father resided. Good Luck.
