Power of Attorney for a man in prison?
A friend of mine is in prison in California. He has money he would like me to invest for him. He would like me to buy property & sell property in his name. Is this possible with some kind of power of attorney?

You would need to obtain a power of attorney form, preferably a general power of attorney, or perhaps a limited power of attorney for a specific purpose.
Assuming you have already gone through the hassle of being approved by CDCR as a visitor, bring a notary public with you on visiting day, have him make advance arrangements to have the notary admitted. He would then need to sign the document in the presence of the notary. Then you are good to go. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
