Power of aturney for a deciesed relative

Do you have to get a lowyer to get power of aturney for a relative who has been dead for over 10 years? They still have stock that was forund and they have no children.

You can't get a power of attorney for a dead person. The stock has to be transfered through probate, or if conditions are met, it can be transfered by affidavit of the sole heir, but that will depend upon the value of the stock and other assets.
