probate

My fathers deceased and i found

money that was his.

Do i have to get an attorney to get it if i was the person who took care of all the detales of his death

I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. To answer your question: It depends on how much money and how it is being held. If the total value of all of your father's assets was under $100,000 then you can avoid probate and there are forms that you can do for the quick transfer.

However, if the total value of all asssets was over $100,000 (this includes a home despite the amount still owed) and there is no trust instrument, then you will need to open a probate and get Letters Testamentary to access the accounts.

It can get complicated.

If your father's estate is under $ 100,000 and you are his heir then you may obtain title to his property via declaration and certified death certificate. Contact me directly.
