You need to talk to the attorney for the estate; call daily if need be until you get answers. Is probate in Fairfield? If the attorney is not moving the case along, find another you can work with. You don't say why it is delayed. You as sole heir are entitled to copies of the filings with Court and any accountings so you should have an idea what is going on. Sitting passively by while others delay will not get you where you want to be.
