Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Probate

My father's probate has been going on for over a year now, with an admistrator agreed to by my stepmother and me. There is no will. We are the only heirs. What are my rights? Nothing seems to be happening, I ask for information and get nothing. My stepmother is living on one of two properties, is not giving the administrator information about my father's assets. etc. How can I get information and get this moving? She has control of all his personal property and I'm afraid I will have nothing of my Father's. They were married for one year before he died. I was 22 years old when he died.

Re: Probate

An administrator's acts are subject to court review and depending on the composition of the property at your father's death, you may be entitled to a share. Normally, probates take about 8 months to complete. Please contact my office and we can review your situation in more detail. [email protected]
