What does it mean when the person who died had a deceased son and when they mention him they say ''no decedents'' are they saying he had no children to which part of the estate should go.

Who said that? If the deceased son had no children, then he had no heirs of his body [might have a living wife], which means no decendents. You need to tell us why you want to know what it means and more facts.
