If your father died without a will, you and your sisters would usually be entitled to one-half of the estate, unless some of the property was put into a trust, or was jointly owned property of some sort. You may need legal advice if you really fear that you will be cut out of what is rightfully yours.

Re: probate,trusts, wills, estates

I am sorry for your loss.

If your father died without a will (this is called dying intestate) you and your sisters would typically be entitled to a share of your father's estate.

Since you described stepmother as "evil" and wants it all I think that you should have an attorney to represent you and your sisters in relation to the probate of the matter. It's possible that your stepmother might not even initiate probate proceedings.

I would be happy to discuss this matter with you.
