Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

Proceed from sale of probate property

I am sole beneficiary and executor of my widow mothers estate.I am also acting in pro per as personal representative with IAEA powers. The property consists of her house and stocks in which I am in process of selling during the 4 month period that the probate must be open. In addition there are no outstanding creditors since I took care of her finances and she was financially

solvent. My question is: How do I handle the proceeds from the sale of her house and stock during the time the probate is open? Do they have to be put in an interest bearing Estate account or can I re-invest it the way I plan do do after probate is closed and in my name?
