If property was acquired and recorded in a grant deed under the name of an LLC do you need to then record the articles of the organization for that LLC?

The short answer based on what you have provided is no, assuming that the deed was delivered to a validly created LLC.

If the LLC is not valid then logically it can not own the property and could never have taken title to the property.
