how to prove I am Next of Kin
My mother recently Passed away and me and my 3 sisters are trying to gain access to her storage unit but we do not have a Key. We have the death cert. but they say we need proof of NoK. what do I need to prove I am her Child they said my Birth cert is not good enough.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. If your mother's estate is under $ 100,000.00 it need not be probabted but her assests may be transferred via declaration with the certified copy of the death certificate. I will draft the required declaration for a nominal fee and include a letter to the storage facility demanding the release of the contents of the unit. Contact me directly.

Is there a Will?
Did your mother leave property, if so what amount (will determine if need for a probate).
There is a procedure by way of Affidavit if no other property - if completed correctly, they need to turn over property over to you.
