Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California

I have a question:

On a birth certificate, passport and driver licence the middle name of a person is Kate (Eve Kate Smith). On some trial document, in the mariage document, on the death certificate, on the will and in all the post mortem document the middle name is Katherine (Eve Katherine Smith).

Can these mistake in the name make all the post mortem document, the death certificate and the will invalid?

Eve was born in India and moved to califorina at the age of 11. She was death in Los Angelses.

No, the court looks as to whether it is obvious who the person is and ignores minor errors.

No. That would not make any sense at all. If a person dies and the death certificate contains the full name, why would that invalidate the death certificate? The person is dead, aren't they?
