Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
I have question about changing a living will. Do we have to go back to the attorney that processed it for us or an attorney at all? My dad wants to change the will and we were wondering if we could write up an amendment and have it notarized with witnesses. Would that be valid when the will is finally read?

Your dad certainly does not have to use the same attorney he used before, but the way your question is phrased shows a lack of knowledge of both legal terminology and procedures, leading me to believe your father would be well advised to hire a lawyer rather than sign any amendment written up by you.
