If a quitclaim deed was not filed before my fathers death, does it make it invalid? And when all assets are taken out of a Living Trust, does it automatically terminate?

A deed may be recorded after the signor dies in some cases (a California Transfer on Death Deed is one exception.)
A trust is not automatically revoked by removing the assets. If there is a pour over will, non-trust assets may still pass to the beneficiaries of the trust, after being probated.
