Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Read article in Sac Bee that any assets over $l00,000 needs to go to probate. It was my understanding (around l0 yrs ago) that the figure was $600,000 or over??
What is the answer? Thanks

Answer is $100,000 for probate. The $600,000 number you refer to has to do with estate taxes which is completely different than probate.
